BLS Adult Classes have brought tremendous joy into my life this past year. While I was born in Lithuania, my family left for America when I was two, so I never learned or practiced the language. (...) When I moved to Boston as a mid-twenties adult, I was delighted to discover a community of Lithuanians existed here. Moreover, learning and practicing Lithuanian with other adults has been a great way to learn. I feel encouraged by my progress in just a single year. The course pacing is fair and Saturday school is easy to incorporate into my working schedule. It has been tough, yet very rewarding to start with the basics and slowly learn and gain confidence with my mother tongue. It has nourished my soul and brought joy to my extended family. I look forward to future years here to continue to build essential skills. (...) Thank you for a great year!

After just 8 remote sessions with my wonderful teacher Asta, I feel that I now have a pretty good foundation of the Lithuanian language and grammar. With the help of an online translator to boost my vocabulary, I believe that I can have a decently robust -- and correct! -- online conversation with my potential Lithuanian family.

Šiaip labai norėčiau padėkoti p. Jūratei už jos energiją, kantrybę ir lankstumą šiais metais. Vaikai tikrai švytėjo kiekvienoj pamokoj p. Jūratės dėka (nors jie nevisada norėjo dalyvauti!). Jinai tikrai ypatinga mokytoja.

Vaikams buvo sunki pradžia mokykloje dėl kalbos bet jie dabar labai domisi Lietuva ir kultūra.
